Anti-fouling

Any object that is subjected to submersion in water for long periods of time is prone to ‘biofouling’ which is the accumulation of microorganisms (plants, algae or animals) on a wetted surface. Biofouling will affect all boats regardless of the material it is constructed from. This is why antifouling marine paints have been developed, as they prevent organisms from attaching to the coated surface and affecting the performance of the boat.
There are many different marine antifouling paints available today, all offering varying levels of protection. We have products that provide affordable seasonal protection for pleasure boats and systems designed to protect working ships of all types. For people looking for seasonal antifouling protection take a look at the ‘Teamac Antifouling D’ which was given a four out of five rating by motor boat monthly in early 2012.
