GRP

GRP (Glass-reinforced polymers) were developed in the 20^th century as multi-purpose construction materials, having unique characteristics such as strength, being lightweight and weather resistant. It is often used in the construction of boats, storage tanks, roofing, pipe work and cladding.

Although it is inherently strong it is often desirable to refinish using industrial paints, whether just for a change of colour or for added protection. Our selection of GRP primers are tried and tested and offer superior protection and adhesion to this type of substrate.

These industrial paints are epoxy based and need to be over coated if colour retention is important, as UV light will cause chalking. Using our ‘Industrial Paints Guide’ will help you choose the right topcoat for the application.
